ENGEL global leader in climate protection
ENGEL is continuing to extend its lead in the global EcoVadis sustainability ranking. The company was again able to achieve Platinum status in the autumn of 2023 and now ranks among the top 1% of the world's most sustainable companies due to strong initiatives.
"We are proud that our sustainability drive has once again been objectively confirmed," says Engleder. "It proves that we, as a company, are sticking to our principles, even in challenging times."
EcoVadis is the world's largest provider of sustainability rankings. The rankings include data from more than 90,000 evaluated companies and focus on the global supply chains in each case. The companies' environmental, social and ethical performance is evaluated.
"We have been able to improve massively in the field of climate protection and are now one of the leaders," says Alexander Hell, Head of Sustainability Management at ENGEL, pointing out one detail. This is primarily due to the combination of science-based greenhouse gas reduction targets and the large numbers of climate protection campaigns already implemented both at ENGEL locations and in the solutions portfolio. It was just this summer that ENGEL announced its commitment to the science-based target initiative (sbti). This means that the company is 100% transparent in its sustainability efforts, and verifiably so based on scientific criteria.
ENGEL sticks to its principles, even in challenging times, states Stefan Engleder, CEO of the ENGEL Group.
