1945 Company founded by Ludwig Engel
1948 The first ENGEL plastics press is patented
1951 The first ENGEL injection molding machine is launched
1959 Complete ENGEL injection molding machine program is on the market
1965 Ludwig Engel's daughter Irene and her husband Georg Schwarz take over management
1968 ENGEL introduces the electronic control unit as standard equipment
1972 Founding of the first ENGEL subsidiary abroad
1977 ENGEL builds its first production plant outside Austria
1980 Development & production of ENGEL linear robots starts in Dietach
1988 Grand opening of the ENGEL large-scale machine plant in St. Valentin
2000 Grand opening of the ENGEL plant in Kaplice, Czech Republic
2001 Grand opening of the ENGEL production plant in Pyeongtaek, Korea
2003 Peter Neumann becomes President and CEO ENGEL HOLDING
2007 Grand opening of the ENGEL large-scale machine plant in Shanghai, China
2013 ENGEL is the world market leader, with production locations in Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, China and Korea, as well as 29 subsidiaries worldwide
